Item Description

Arborescent clusters of olive-green to gray mottramite crystals are richly and dramatically coated-on and included-in a very sculptural 360-degree miniature cluster of intergrown glassy, flattened, stepped-growth, tapered calcite rhombs from famed Tsumeb. The impressive large crestal disk is 2.6 cm. Rich, very showy and essentially Tsumeb Calcite with Mottramite from the Shields Flynn Collection and illustrated on Page 24 of his 2018 self-published book, Minerals of Namibia - From the Collection of Shields and Frances Flynn. Tsumeb, like Dalnegorsk, is famed for calcite divesity and quality and this is a classic and exceptionally rich combination example.
