Item Description

The Idarado mine is most famous for it's Manganoan Calcite specimens, in fact, the largest quantity of the finest quality Manganoan Calcite specimens from Colorado were found in this mine. This specimen is features pake pink "milky" "dog-tooth" Calcite which have a light dusting of small sparkling, iridescent metallic, Pyrite. The piece glows under UV light as well. The overall quality of the piece makes it a very good display specimen of this truly classic San Juan material. Ex Cynthia Payne collection.
