Calcite (Mn-bearing)

Item Description

A wonderful group of slightly curved, pink Manganese-bearing Calcite scalenohedra from the largest mine in Central America! This skarn deposit has recently contributed some attractive specimens to the market. This particular piece is from a find a few years ago from what I'm told and it features a handful of attractive mostly undamaged crystals which are associated with sharp lustrous crystals of Sphalerite and white Quartz crystals sitting on a matrix of oxidized greenish-brown Hedenbergite. The piece fluoresces a beautiful orange hue under SW UV light.
