Item Description

A wonderful "sugary" group of pink Manganese-bearing Calcite rhombohedra from the largest mine in Central America! This skarn deposit has recently contributed some attractive specimens to the market. This particular piece is from a find a few years ago from what I'm told and it features a handful of attractive undamaged crystal measuring up to 2.2 cm. The "sugary" coating is from a secondary deposition of drusy Quartz. The black spots are most likely underlain Andradite Garnets. The piece fluoresces a beautiful orange hue under SW UV light.
