Superb 360-degree form on this striking and aesthetic specimen of densely clustered "pagoda-style" calcite groups from Chenzhou Prefecture. Two generations of calcite comprise this very artistic piece. All of the "pagodas" are capped with and much of the specimen is covered with compressed, glassy, white, 2nd generation rhombohedrons. The "pagodas" and body of the specimen are composed of stacked, compressed, light pink, 1st generation manganoan calcite rhombohedrons. The attachment is along one edge at the base and another hard-to-see small attachment is just over half-way up on one side. Bright neon-orange LW UV fluorescence. These are contemporary Chinese classics and this is an excellent example.
