Calcite (Miller Co.)

Item Description

Two, classic, glassy, intergrown, colorless, calcite rhombs with complex form on a bit of matrix from one to the two well-known limestone quarries in Scott County - the Linwood Mine or the Lafarge Quarry. The Miller Collection label says Washington County. There is a quarry there, but specimens are not shown in MINDAT. This is most likely from Scott County. A fine, pristine miniature.
