Item Description

Mineral specimens are RARE from this most obscure Chihuahua locale. This is a dramatic, rich and strikingly different large two-sided combination rib. The front is festooned with glassy, water-clear calcite scalenohedrons with modified terminations. A few crystals are doubly terminated, including the two largest at 2.8 and 2.7 cm. Essentially pristine, for all the crystal density, except for the attachment on one end and a couple of broken crystals on the periphery. The back is totally different! It is covered with a couple of generations of lustrous, brassy/bronzy marcasite botryoids. Try to find another of this size and combination richness from this rare locale. It looks like classic old English, but it's not!
