Calcite & Marcasite (excellent)

Item Description

Calcite and marcasite combinations are a Brushy Creek Mine classic and this is an adorable thumbnail example. Sparkly rust-red marcasite crystals preferentially coat the first generation calcite crystals. Gemmy, gray second generation scalenohedrons, then overgrow the mascasite. The aesthetics of this complete all-around and pristine example are most excellent. This must have been a significant find, as the mine level and drift are listed: 1100 ft. level/106 drift.
