Calcite (Manganese rich) & Calcite on Quartz

Item Description

Eight pastel-pink, porcelain-luster, manganoan calcite rhombohedrons are aesthetically scattered along with patches of flattened, glassy, translucent, nailhead calcite rhombohedrons on the impressive large mounded 360-degree hedgehog of sprays of lustrous, transparent quartz points. The large compound Mn-calcite rhomb is 3.5 cm across, the nailhead calcites reach 1.7 cm and the quartz points reach about 2.2 cm. All of the calcites are in good shape and the scattered bruising to the multitude of quartz points is certainly only a modest detraction. Pink LW UV Mn-calcite and calcite fluorescence. 1500 grams or 3.3 pounds mass.
