An impressive, large, gorgeous, display quality specimen of these soon-to-be-classic pink (manganese-bearing) Calcites from the Huanggang Mine in Inner Mongolia. These are truly some of the finest examples of manganese-bearing Calcite from any locality in the modern era of mineral collecting. The piece features robust, very well-formed, large, sharp, prismatic trigonal crystals, free of matrix creating a very attractive display specimen. The color is a soft pink hue, but it still "glows" with an almost inner radiance. These are fantastic Calcites with their wonderful crystal form, color and displayability. They are distinctly different from similar pieces from either Russia or South Africa, and crystals of this size are certainly hard to find. For an added bonus, the piece shows wonderful red-orange fluorescence under SW UV light.
