Item Description
Calcite is a diverse species, both in terms of the various habits and colors in which is occurs. This is a classic spherical pink (manganese-bearing) example from the N'Chwaning II Mine in South Africa, featuring a predominant "ball", with a smaller partial secondary sphere on one side. The piece is not 100% complete, as you can see it didn't fully crystallized on the back where it was attached to the pocket wall.
