A gorgeous, display quality specimen of the famous pink (Manganoan) Calcites from Chenzhou. The piece is loaded with sharp, well-formed, compressed rhombohedra stacked into "pagoda"-like formations to create this very attractive display specimen. The largest Calcite (as best I can measure it) is about 3.8 cm across. These are fantastic contemporary Chinese Calcites with their wonderful crystal form and displayability. They are distinctly different from similar pieces from either Dal'negorsk, Russia or the newer pieces from Inner Mongolia.
