Item Description

A beautiful small cabinet display specimen featuring a sharp, scalenohedral, translucent Calcite crystal which grades in color variation from nearly colorless to a reddish-brown hue (iron included) with smaller Calcite crystals with Pyrite matrix. The main Calcite measures 6.3 cm across. The crystal is a twin, nearly damage free, with only a tiny bit of edge wear along periphery where it was removed from pocket wall. A nice and eye-catching specimen of this find, where the locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time. Priced at $850
