Calcite (iron-included)

Item Description

An attractive scalenohedral Calcite group featuring partially iron-bearing red crystals in scalenohedral formations. Very good condition all the way around, save a couple of nicks here and there. There is a cleaved crystal on the back / side, but doesn't show up from the display side. The piece is quite showy and sculptural and the red color is interestingly found on only one side of the Calcites, with the back sides showing a white-grey hue. These were fairly common on the market 10 years ago, and they seem to be all but gone.
