Calcite (interesting fluorescence)

Item Description

A beautiful specimen of Calcite on matrix from Tsumeb featuring several a sharp, gemmy, colorless rhomb on matrix. The Calcite measures 1.6 cm, and along with its fine quality, the piece has a weird fluorescence with a brilliant bright pink "lightning bolt" shaped line where it detached from the matrix. Calcites from Tsumeb are one of the most sought after species from what is arguably the greatest locality in the history of minerals. Enjoy!
