Item Description

Flying saucer-style, disk-like, flattened calcite rhombs to 2.9 cm strikingly cover the very cool, 3-dimensional, LARGE CABINET mound on this exceptional specimen from finds a few years ago at the Leiping Mine of China. This striking piece has graduated, preferential inclusions of hematite from one end of the piece to the other. The glassy, highly lustrous, near-transparent, disks have hardly any hematite on one end. The transition to 100%, hematite-included crystals at the other end gradually takes place across the piece. Facinating chemistry here! Essentially pristine, except for very modest periphery wear. Valued at $1250. NOTE EXTRA SHIPMENT WEIGHT
