Here we have a fine example of Calcite included with Copper from one of the most historic and classic mining districts in the United States. This is a well crystallized specimen featuring a fine scalenohedral crystal of Calcite included with bright metallic (un-oxidized) native Copper. These specimens are becoming more and more difficult to find on the market today, and this is a nice display specimen of this most highly sought after material from Michigan. The crystal is not 100% perfect as you can see in the photos, as there is minor edge wear, but these specimens are highly sought after by collectors due to their uniqueness and rarity on the market.
