Calcite included with Copper

Here we have a fine example of Calcite included with Copper from one of the most historic and classic mining districts in the United States. This piece is a well crystallized specimen featuring scalenohedral crystals of Calcite included with bright metallic (un-oxidized) native Copper. These specimens are becoming more and more difficult to find on the market today, and this is a very nice display specimen of this most highly sought after material from Michigan. The largest Calcite measures 8 mm. From an old East Coast collection.
