Item Description

GEMMY to translucent, stepped colorless Calcite crystals are included with botryoidal medium-green colored Malachite on reddish Cuprite matrix from the famous Ojuela Mine. This combination is not often seen from this mine, and is certainly worth picking up if you collect Mexican minerals or secondary ore specimens. This is OLD material, rarely seen on the market, and certainly marked by the fact that the piece has such a LOW entry number in the collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#105). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
