Calcite incl. w/ Plattnerite (Schlichter Coll.)

Item Description

Plattnerite is relatively rare lead dioxide. Some of the richest and finest examples of the species come from the famous Mina Ojuela and this is an excellent specimen. Scintillating, sharp, translucent, calcite rhombs are richly and strikingly included with chocolate-brown plattnerite. The side view reveals the depth of inclusion into the rhombs on this fine specimen. Classic, old-time and uncommon material from the 1950s and 60s finds. Ex Schlichter Collection.
