Calcite incl. w/ Marcasite

These gemmy Iowa calcites are NOT common on the market, which is sad, because at their best they really rival something you would see from Dalnegorsk. Super-gemmy scalenohedrons are intergrown onto a limestone matrix in a sculptural way. The beautiful and striking end calcite is 2.4 cm. Scintillating, brassy marcasite needles are included in all of the crystals and the larger crystals have striking marcasite phantoms! The two large calcites on the end have gently cleaved terminations, but even with that, this is a wonderful U.S. calcite. It is of outstanding quality for this or ANY U.S. locality as far as calcites go. BETTER IN PERSON!!!
