A classic, colorful and desirable calcite combination from famed Tsumeb. Bright brick-red, preferentially hematite-included and coated flattened calcite rhombs are one of THE most desirable varietals from Tsumeb. Most of the jackstraw rhombs on this sculptural small cabinet are bright red, while some have very little to only partial hematite tinting. The impressive large rich red rhomb is 3.5 cm. Spherical aggregates of sparkly, nubby, olive-green mottramite are a classic and stark contrast. The bit of noted bruising and periphery wear are certainly only modest detractions to this most colorful and excellent combination. Tsumeb, like Dal'negork, is renowned for calcite quality and diversity and this is a very desirable and colorful combination. Choice material from the Shields Flynn Collection.
