Item Description

A spectacular and sculptural, large two-sided crust from this famous locale. Gemmy, glassy calcite rhombs are richly and colorfully included with blood-red cuprite, classic colored copper and yellow iron oxides on the front. The back is strikingly different, with most of the rhombs being colorless and having a very noteworthy absence of red cuprite! The rhombs are also much larger here. Interesting chemistry! Choice and very fine large material from the Art Soregaroli Collection. Material of this quality dates to the 1960s or 70s.
