Item Description

This wonderful, three-dimensional eye-catching specimen formed when GEMMY Calcite crystals grew in the natural "vug" formed by a fossil clamshell. The interior of the shell is now lined with these fine quality, golden crystals. This is a good sized piece and the opening of the exposed shell gives a view into the gemmy golden crystals of the interior. To top it off, it's sitting on a matrix of shell conglomerate, forming a natural base. Ex Alex Cook Collection. Really showy and good quality.
