Item Description
An interesting and attractive cleaved crystal of GEM quality colorless Calcite with attractive moss green colored "phantom" inclusions of "Chlorite". The piece is labeled as being "Iceland Spar", an archaic term for gem quality Calcite. The label also states that the locality is unknown, so if anybody out there has an idea where this piece might be from, please feel free to contact us an let us know. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#E1-46). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
