Item Description
Among many other minerals, Wessels is known for its Hematites, often in combination with Calcite and Andradite Garnet. The Hematites here have good to superb luster, and they are heavily modified tabular crystals. One is even twinned, with the largest reaching 2.5 cm. Sparkly mico-Andradites coat much of the Hematite, and one end of the specimen is capped with a late stage 2.3 cm Calcite rhomb. A very nice, classic combination piece.
