Item Description
A classic and desirable calcite form from the famous Southwest Mine at Bisbee - the cave helectite. The "arms" on this sculptural piece appear to defy gravity. One side is peppered with tiny primary malachite sprays and the sparkly calcite crystals are distintively smaller than the other side, that lacks much malachite. Very interesting chemistry here. The end of the stubby "arm" is pristine, with the two ends on the other side being contacted. Showy and excellent material from the Cynthia Payne Calcite Collection and valued by the former dealer at $350.
