Item Description
Mineral specimens are VERY RARE from this most obscure Nevada mercury mine! There are no photographs in MINDAT for the locality. This is a fantastic looking 2-generation calcite cave helectite "seahorse". Most of the piece is sugary first generation calcite. The "nose", part of the lower "body" and "tail" are overgrown with second generation very glassy, gemmy, colorless calcite rhombs. A very aesthetic, pristine, two-sided and RARE Nevada calcite from the Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection and dates to the 1970s to 80s.
