This is a really interesting, sculptural cluster of sparkly calcites grown over a previous generation of stalactite calcite, or perhaps a cast after some other mineral. It is a large display piece with a fascinating shape. All of the inner surfaces are crystallized around and on all sides, and look like struts meeting up in the middle. You can also turn it on its side about 45 degrees, and it looks a lot like the letter "A." (For those among us who are Star Wars fans, it looks like a side view of flying through the Death Star). In any case, a really unusual display piece which is really big and impressive, and would stand out in any collection for the puzzle of looking at these seemingly straight lines coated with calcite crystals. Valued $1500.
