Calcite "half & half" w/ Marcasite (Carmichael Coll.)

Item Description

A very nifty upright Wisconsin thumbnail calcite from the Eugene Carmichael Collection. Glassy, translucent, sharp, light gray scalenohedrons cover the front. A distinct demarcation has the back half of the piece with scalenohedrons included with marcasite. Complete all-around, the top is lightly contacted. Interesting chemistry here! A fine and very showy piece.
