A fantastic, classic old time specimen of Calcite from Charcas in the form of good-sized, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, colorless twinned rhombs with a tiny bit of matrix. The top portion of the piece is in great shape overall and really looks beautiful from a few angles. Hard to find material, especially in crystals this size. Priced at $750 in the inventory. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#7786) with an old label from Walt Lidstrom. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
