Item Description
A really choice thumbnail from the Faylor-Middle Creek Quarry in Pennsylvania featuring a pristine, doubly-terminated, light golden colored, rather gemmy twinned crystal of Calcite measuring 1.7 cm, sitting atop dozens of tiny "jewel"-like Calcites on matrix. The piece is wonderfully well-balance with the Calcite twin sitting perfectly in the top center position. I looked with a loupe and cannot find any damage whatsoever to the Calcite. Gorgeous and rare on the market.
From the collection of David E Ziga, a geologist who graduated Miami (of Ohio) University in 2017, with a mineralogy background. Specimen # xxx .
