Calcite & Fluorite

This is one of the early examples of Chinese green fluorite to come to the market in the 1990s and was bought by Fran Allegra in that era. It is today immediately recognizable as a piece of a unique style - we called them "mouse ears" at the time. The calcites are flattened, translucent rhombohedra that look like discs, leaping out of a gorgeous, sparkling cluster of pastel green fluorite. It is a large size, but not too large, and masses 1400 grams. It is very aesthetic, with the halo of discs around the central fluorite! Unlike most of them, that typically had extensive damage, this is nearly pristine with just the smallest amount of edge chatter on the calcites that does not affect the quality and value. This is a fine example of a style we have not seen in over 20 years, that really stands out on a shelf. Valued $7500
