Item Description
This striking large mounded calcite specimen looks like a brain coral! Tightly intergrown radiating clusters of stacked nailhead calcite rhombs resting on matrix form this impressive piece from the Art Soregaroli Collection. The very glassy, translucent, light gray rhombs have a light iron oxide tint and some of pagoda-like stacks have faint interior phantoms, adding pizzazz. The couple spots of noted modest bruising certainly only have minimal impact on the very showy quality of this choice Chinese piece. Orangy-pink fluorescence.
