Item Description
Surreal golden-orange color on this rare and most colorful large cave calcite from an obscure French locale, from the well known collection of Paul Zerfass (self-collected). The impresssive rolling thick specimen is composed of a myriad of densely intergrown elongated very glassy gemmy/translucent scalenohedrons. Found during roadwork on motorway A89 in 2004 and also included gypsum specimens. Specimens from the locality are very uncommon and calcites of this striking style and color are RARE. Striking unusual ghostly white fluorescence. The piece GLOWS, when back lit. It is simply GORGEOUS. and unique.
