Item Description

Parallel-growth, lustrous, translcuent, flattened calcite rhombs form an attractive specimen from the famous mines at Dal'negorsk. The impressive large crystal is 5.0 x 5.0 x 1.5 cm. The disks are attached to a sparing matrix of quartz points coated- and included-with chlorite. A bit of edge wear is noted to both the large and second rhombs and are certainly only modest detractions. Dal'negorsk, like Tsumeb is renowned for the quality and diversity of calcites and this is a fine example. Orange-pink fluorescence.
