Striking, sharp, lustrous and translucent, flattened nailhead calcite rhombs richly and attractively cover both sides of the matrix wedge on this aesthetic and pristine example from this locale. The impressive large rhomb is 4.7 cm and the sparkly drusy quartz covered matrix adds pizzazz. This is an uncommon and desirable calcite style from this district. Modest pink fluorescence.
