Item Description

This is an aesthetic old-time combination piece from this well-known old Au-Ag-Cu-sulfide mine. A 4.4 cm, lustrous, translucent calcite scalenohedron is well-placed on the undulating matrix of two generations of sparkly chalcopyrite crystals and smaller calcites. The large calcite has a nifty and unusual partial sheath of sugary, drusy quartz. AND there are many more glassy calcites on the back side. The tip of the large calcite is cleaved, but is certainly only a modest detraction to this showy and uncommon combination from this mine. Ex Tom Wolfe Calcite Collection. Bright orange-pink fluorescence.
