Item Description

A sharp calcite rhomb from a very uncommon New Hampshire locale - Rt. 93 in Littleton. The lustrous, textbook rhomb has a pearlescent, creamy exterior. Backlighting the translucent crystal reveals an orangy interior. The prism face and three sides appear to be terminated, with one side and the base being cleavages. Modest, but rich purple-red fluorescence. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 1461 and dating to 1984.
