Calcite (fluorescent) ex Obodda

Item Description

Striking, six-sided, barrel-shaped, bi-colored, calcite prisms form a sculptural and dramatic specimen from the famous mines at Dal'negorsk. The translucent barrels have tan bodies, creamy terminations ("lids") and you can see darker inclusions in some of the crystals. The crystals on the right side of the plate are doubly terminated. Complete all-around and pristine. An exceptional and unusual calcite form from Dal'negorsk. Older material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Hot orange-pink fluorescence.
