Lustrous, translucent, blocky calcite rhombs, to 2.5 cm, are festooned on this impressive and sculptural large old plate from Tuscany, Italy. This is a RARE large and rich Tuscany calcite plate after reviewing the MINDAT Tuscany calcite photo gallery. There was no exact match for the Pozzetta, Tuscany locality listed on the old Chervet label. The rhombs resemble calcites from Gioia quarries, Casette shown in the MINDAT photo gallery.
