Item Description
Classic and aesthetic small cabinet matrix calcite from the well-known basalt deposits at Irai. Two sharp translucent amber calcite scalenohedrons with satin lustre faces are nicely set on the thin matrix plate peppered with contrasting blebs of green chlorite. The large doubly terminated calcite is 5.2 cm long and the cluster of small calcites between the two large crystals is a fine accent. Ghostly yellow-white fluorescence. Ex Cynthia Payne Calcite Collection. A very fine example of this calcite varietal from Irai.
