Item Description

A classic and excellent flattened calcite rhomb from Dal'negorsk. The very glassy, translucent, crystal has sharp edges on the front, back and edges. You can't see the striations of the prism faces, as the piece is so lustrous. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. The top front edge has trivial bruising you can't see the two attachment points, as one is in the lower middle of the back and the other is on the left side of the front. Dal'negorsk, like Tsumeb, is renowned for calcite diversity and quality and this is a highly representative example from Cynthia Payne Collection. Neon-orange fluoresence!
