Calcite (fluorescent) & Celadonite (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

Striking, transparent, colorless, frosted, calcite scalenohedrons are dramatically included with green celadonite and totally encrust the thin matrix plate on this large and fine calcite piece from this well-known Rio Grande do Sul location. Nearly pristine, with only a couple of barely noticeable broken crystals. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1985. Super orange fluorescence. Once fairly common, you don't see many of these around anymore.
