Item Description
A gorgeous specimen featuring sharp, colorless, limpid, scalenohedral Calcites crystals from the Verkhnii Mine in Dalnegorsk, Russia. The crystals are notably well-formed with good internal gemminess/translucency in areas, and no major damage. I love the terminations of the crystals, which looks like 6-point pinwheels. The piece fluoresces a vibrant orange-pink hue under SW UV light, which means it's manganese-bearing, even if it doesn't show any pink color within the crystals. A choice piece of this classic material, dating back to the late 1990s - early 2000s era of mining at Dalnegorsk.
