Item Description
Killer trio of sharp Calcite crystals, on matrix. The largest is 3 cm on edge, and all exhibit interesting habit (as so many Calcites do). Each crystal is a modified rhomb, blocky in nature with gorgeous modified edges and faces. Each is partially gemmy and has a wonderful orange fluorescence. A terrific Calcite from a world-class locality noted for such sharp rhombohedra but with a bonus...note the sharp interpenetration twin in the middle? the style of twinning is characteristic of dolomite from Eugui in Spain, but somehow rarely seen in calcite. Here it is!
