Item Description
Sculptural and unusual combination piece from the famous mines at Naica. The Calcite rhombs, which range up to 2.4 cm on edge, are sharply formed and fluoresce a bright orange. The 1 cm Fluorite cubes are gemmy, lustrous, mint-green in color, and they fluoresce lavendar. There is a significant, secondary micro-coating of either non-fluorescent Calcite or Dolomite, and it creates a very uniform look, yet the Calcites below still come across in dramatic fashion. The is an excellent, interesting, and aesthetic cabinet specimen from Naica.
