Dalnegorsk doesn't get enough credit for producing some of the finest quality Calcite crystals in the last few decades. The superb optic grade colorless crystals are about as good as it gets in terms of beauty, crystallization and excellent internal gemminess with colorless interiors. This piece is a gorgeous, very sharp, classic, vitreous, "jewel"-like, doubly-terminated crystal with wonderful modified scalenohedral faces. The piece is a near "floater" crystal, there is a point of attachment on the back, but it's in superb condition all around and looks beautiful indoors and in sunlight, showing some attractive rainbow reflections internally thanks to the excellent gem clarity.
