An exceptional old-time and rich calcite plate from the historic mines at St. Andreasberg. The lustrous, hexagonal prisms, to 3.0 cm, are water-clear, colorless to translucent, off-white, often in the same crystal! Interesting chemistry here! Complete all-around and in great shape, for such a rich and dense old-timer. The one broken crystal in the interior and bit of periphery wear on one side are noted, but have very minimal impact to the overall very high quality of this outstanding calcite. Bright pink fluorescence. Valued at $1350.
