Item Description
A lovely "twisting" group of Calcite which have formed in semi-stalactitic shapes with sharp, lustrous, white / colorless crystals. I don't know specifically if this piece is from the Ojuela Mine, as it was only labeled as coming from Mapimi, but it's certainly different than most Calcites I've seen from the locality. Honestly, the piece somewhat reminded me of specimens I've seen from Bisbee. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#9788). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
